Originally they said it would be something like $130 initial penalty or whatever and then around $30 extra a month. Not affordable! So the county did some kind of lawsuit and brought it down to the $9 a month. They check the “old meter” every 3 months and average out monthly usage somehow. Our electric bill has gone down, oddly enough.
