That vid also reminds me about how sick and disgusted I felt whenever I saw Teddy’s smug face. Treason.
Normally I’d have the same reaction, but I am pretty sure that the clip was the first time I saw Rush on his TV show.
I am going to miss that man when he’s gone ... he has been a part of my entire adult life. I was 17 or when I first listened to him (that’s going back to 1990-91 ... I know many here have listened longer :-) ).
I was what you’d kind of call a Bluedog Dem back then ... I don’t think I was ever what one would call a liberal ... I always believed in the right to bear arms, never cared for the Soviets/Communism despite having an interest in Russia, and never hated the United States of America. My best guess is that I voted Democrat since my dad was a union member and felt like I had some obligation to that. I actually voted for Clinton in 1992, so I understand if anyone here wants to drown me for that! :-)
Between Rush and the first three months of the Clinton Administration, I was healed. I haven’t voted Democrat since. If I have a gripe about anything since, it was being fooled by George W Bush. To paraphrase that “old west” saying he mangled, I won’t be fooled again :-) (hopefully).
