Crossing the Delaware at night in the freezing cold was the easy part. Then they had to march nine miles south to Trenton on icy roads to get there by dawn.
Many soldiers had no shoes or had feet wrapped in cloths.
I can’t even imagine.
And today people complain about standing in line to vote.
