Hunter and him were business partners and emailed constantly, until he quit once he realized that the pay for play schemes were undermining national security.

If they looked at the contents and saw the communications with the Ukraine and did nothing with it during impeachment, I would argue that they may have committed a crime.
Law enforcement and attorneys at all levels have a duty and obligation to turn over exculpatory information and/or to notify a court (in this case, the Senate) that there is information directly related to the proceeding or investigation.
Based on what we now know, had they disclosed this when they received it it is highly unlikely that the democrats would have continued with the impeachment AND that Biden WOULD NOT be the nominee for the DNC.
Most Americans seem to have missed the connection of the dots on this thing. This laptop PROVES that Trump was correct in asking or instructing the Ukraine to investigate. On top of that, another missed point, is that the President was upholding US law in dealing with the Ukraine by signalling to them that they could proceed with an investigation. After all, they likely were uncertain after our prior VP fired their prosecutor for looking into the company and actors that looted the nation (and our taxpayer funded aid).
I suppose so, among people who are running short of letters.

I like Barr although I, like many, have been disappointed in the glacial pace of what is happening. However, EVERY supervisor and attorney at every level who was aware of this laptop (if they were) and failed to act should be fired.
If that includes Barr then so be it. I really do not think he knew about this. He was very skeptical of impeachment.
Barr had better get off his ass and explain to the American people — right now! — just what the hell is going on at the FBI. What very little remaining faith in the FBI there was (with Barr’s appointment to AG) is quickly collapsing.
His task was to clean that place up and restore faith in the institution, and he is failing miserably!

Sitting on that laptop for 10 months appears to half the country to be election meddling anyway, so that horse has already left the barn.
Even if he can’t go into great detail, he needs to reassure the people that the weird antics recently at the FBI have a legitimate law enforcement predicate and are not yet another coup d’etat effort by the FIB.

He can’t. There are only two answers - there is an ongoing investigation or there is not. The first raises a lot of questions and would create a firestorm of partisanship. The latter would pretty much confirm what you wrote and piss off the other half of the country.
The FBI is corrupt, they have been given many chances to do their job according to the oath every employee has taken. Disband the FBI and rebuild from the bottom to the top. A fish rots from the head down, the “ bottom” can re apply after the interviews.Chopping off the entire head and discarding insures the rot has not infected the body. It has become evident the FBI is rotten to the core.

Agree 1000%. The swamp will never validate President Trump’s positions because that increases his political capital and ability to advance the MAGA agenda. They want him hamstrung and either defeated or unable to control the executive branch.
