“Ho”, in those contexts seems to be a synonym for ‘Ahead” or “Forward”.

"Heave ho" is an exhortation for sailors to pull strongly and together such as when hoisting a yardarm and sail. The pulling is rhythmic. This contrasts with the command to "pull handsomely" which means to pull at a steady rate without jerking.
"Yo ho ho" was made popular from a shanty in Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. It was already in use at the time and is likely a variation on "Yo Heave Ho".
"Land Ho" is an exclamation from a lookout on the sighting of land.
"Tally Ho" is an exclamation from a huntsman on sighting a fox. It was used as a signal for RAF pilots to attack during WWII.
