Ahh. Not familiar with that one. As a life long sailor, we “heave to” for the same reason. Simply turn into the wind, and instead of tacking, leave the jib back winded and lash the tiller. Now you are “hove to”. The boat will slowly fore reach with nobody steering or trimming and free everyone up to work, or make a sammich, or get a beer. When finished the chores, simply blow the job and sheet in on the new tack.
