I don’t think I ever identified Elen’s mushroom. I just took the whole mycelium mass, dug a hole in the corner of the herb patch outside the kitchen, and buried it. It produced a few mushrooms during the winter, but I left them in place so they would spore.
It’s resting at the moment, but since we’ve had all this rain, I expect it to do something in the next month or so.
We might go to the park later to look at the ephemeral wetlands, but I had my eyes dilated, so it will have to wait a few hours.
I still have about 45 minutes before my appointment, so I think I’ll go to the post office and then to Dollar Tree for cards to congratulate two family members who got married in the last five months. I can’t even keep up with birthdays, and trying to keep up with weddings is getting to be a very large hassle.
Most of them are lucky to get cards!
