Getting mail is nice, when it’s not bills.
Off on an outing to get the van inspected again because it’s been too long and I didn’t get the registration renewed. Also take the chopped onions to the guy from Cub Scouts.
I need to write more. Since my FS and his PW don’t read my letters, I need to find a substitute pen pal.
Today was going to be a day of resting on my laurels, but I finished packing the box with small appliances by tucking some padding inside and taping it shut, then labeling it. And reminded me I was going to sit out today!
But now, I need to go get some honey for my poor allergies. Then I’ll come home and sit out the day!
Well. That was a fruitful outing. No pun intended.
I had to wait about 10 minutes for Casey to get done with another customer, and while I was waiting, I saw one mechanic working on a truck, one on the phone, and Casey in a vehicle outside with a phone in one hand, test equipment in the other hand and passing messages periodically to the owner of the vehicle. It’s OK, though. He uses the same care with all his customers as he does me.
He is literally out of honey, so he brought me two quarts of different honey from his own private stash — one is wildflower honey, which may have been a good one but the other one is very dark and tastes like peaches. I don’t recall what he called it, but he made it clear that it was a sacrifice! I bought the dark stuff.
So I’ll have some with lunch. Maybe I’ll mix it with butter and used it on bread, since I packed the toaster. :o|
