I agree completely! There should be something they can be used for on a daily basis.

My older brudder made an attempt at an engineering company for a few years. It didn’t last, but one thing he built was a device that would press tree stumps through a grid that would squeeze all the sap/syrup out of them and leave a really light fluffy wood that his client could sell. Thus, a major landfill headache in the northeast was resolved. He said to me, “All we have to do is find a chemical engineer to do something with that sap/syrup and we won’t have to put anything into the ground.
I’m all for stuff like that, as long as the government isn’t choosing the winners.
