It always amazes me to see the choices a state gubmint will make in its infinite wizdumb.
People can be trusted to throw all their money away at a craps table if they want to, we don’t need to worry about that.
People can’t be trusted to evaluate the drugs they want to take after discussing it with their doctor or pharmacist. We must take action!
I dunno. The Brits did an experiment years ago, with patients who needed morphine. The chose people who were in constant pain, at various ages and walks of life, and gave them all a morphine pump.
They were sure everyone was going to OD in the first month, but as it turned out, their morphine usage was down compared to what it was when they had to keep getting their prescriptions refilled.
There are patches, now, but as I was researching the alternatives to morphine, the side-effects were too risky for me to even try, what with CFIDS and all. I was hoping otherwise.
