You’ll either like Lovecraft or not. His prose can be turgid.

The ankle brace came. I’ve been wearing it all day. Don’t know if it helps, but I didn’t pay the podiatrist so I could ignore his recommendations!

I hope you have a very good night.

The book is evidently a galley proof from Penguin, but it reminds me of the Doubleday Book Club. It was a clever way for them to rid their shelves of unwanted stock. I read a lot of books for $1.50 a pop, plus 50ยข postage and handling. I was very proud when I finally was able to buy a bookcase, when my Favorite Son was a very short person.

I’ll start with the “Call of the Cthulhu,” simply because it seems I’m the only person in the country that hasn’t read it.

As far as the ankle brace is concerned, it may take a while for your ankle to respond to it. The more you wear it, the more it will help. Especially if you’re doing a lot of hiking. Running. Fast walking. I love it when my ankle or knee braces do what they’re supposed to! ;o]
