I took the advice of a few people and went to bed, but it was far too early, and here I am, again.
It wasn’t a bad day, compared to past Thanksgivings, and really, in the grand scheme of things, I have a lot to be thankful for. I have so much more than I had in 1995, and though my health is iffy on a daily basis, I can function.
So many people have so much less, and others have very bad health, so I consider myself greatly blessed.
Now to the more mundane. The wind is once again non-stop, and I would take the chimes down but for fear of being conked by them in a gust. Anyway, it’s sustained wind at 26 mph and it has slowly lifted the tape that covers the swamp cooler vent, so I will have to get up there tomorrow and replace the entire thing. Chuck needs to get up on the roof and replace the canvas cover that has been dislodged from the winds of the last three years.
It sounds as though your Thanksgiving was shaping up into a great celebration. I’m sure the rest of the day was very pleasant indeed!
Does DQ’s Guest know he’s dating a ticking time bomb? ;o]
No, I’m sure he doesn’t, but he’s 25, and I’m sure he’ll be fine. As long as they stay together until Christmas, because she put his name in the gift drawing, and he got me. I want the Bill the Cardinal flannel pajamas from Walmart, size medium. If they’re out of mediums, he can get me a scarf.
