I smacked 60 last year. After going through 40 and 50, this was nothing.

All I have to do is visit my late-80s parents-in-law and I feel young.

Well, kids, all this age-talk is making me tired, so I’m going to head down the hall.

It’s my first day on another new schedule, and my body is telling me I’m an hour late for the bed preparations.

It’s going to be hot here, next week, with a predicted 102° and unlike most folks in this neck of the woods, I’m looking forward to it!

Take care, guys and I’ll either see you and cats tomorrow or I won’t! :o])

FYI: Tax-chick has returned home safely from her camp-out and will gather her wits about her while she does laundry and otherwise unwinds a bit before she posts a kitteh. Her own kittehs are safe and may or may not ignore her as a welcome.

Shannon called us a name and went to lurk in the flowerbeds, same as any other day. Jake is acting needy.

Wash is on, and gear is temporarily squared but will need to be thoroughly dried on a day that doesn’t look like more rain.

Welcome back!

Shannon is good at the name calling, and Jake is almost always needy when you return. Said neediness increasing in severity in proportion to the time you were gone. What a couple of hams!

FD says there is rain in CO while it’s trying to be close to 90°, here, so there’s weather everywhere! ;o]

Look! A marmalade for brekkity!

Good morning!

How are you feeling? Did you sleep well last night? Is the laundry all caught up?

The laundry is done, here, and that includes hanging it up. So the rest of the day is mine.

Yes, the laundry is all done. No, I did not sleep well. Jake was very clingy. I feel like I’ve been pummeled with pool noodles!

The sun is out. After breakfast, I’ll start getting out gear that needs to dry. Maybe Tom the Son will come over later to cook out.

Good about the laundry!

I’m so sorry about your loss of sleep. I’m sure Jake was just trying to express his misery at your absence, but golly...he could have chosen someone else!

My Dreamer’s Dictionary is packed and I need it!

The flag is out, waiting for the sun to come over the mesa. One of the neighbors has a flag on his lawn (don’t know how he got permission for it...) and keeps a spotlight on it. A neighbor two doors from him has his by the door (as is mine) but he doesn’t even keep his porchlight on. (This is the guy that made it a point to tell me he was divorced!)

If the guy across the way is home, he’ll put his flag up, soon. No one farther into the complex flies the flag, except the office, and Brian will put that flag up later this morning.

I almost wish I had the fixin’s for a BBQ today. The neighborhood will smell good, for sure!

If you want to tell me your dream, I’ll look it up for you!

I’ve put James’s shoes and a couple of tarps out to dry, but the grass needs to dry before we can spread more things out.

Jake chased a squirrel this morning. Unsuccessfully. The squirrel got on top of the pergola and called Jake a fat loser and made rude gestures.

Thanks! I’ll do that!

My dad had a brown canvas tarp, and I don’t know how old that thing was, but I know it spent a lot of nights on the lawn, while we slept out under the stars on it. We just left it there until it dried, then folded it. It was HUGH!

Poor Jake! Squirrels are notorious for rude gestures at cats! And people, too!

The black ink cartridge finally, really ran out of ink. I can usually print an additional 250-300 pages before it finally quits, after I get the “Out Of Black Ink” message. Now I’m waiting for the printer to recognize the cartridge, since it’s an off brand.

FINALLY!

Electronics hates us!

We’re not getting as much sunshine as I would like, but the gear is drying out anyway.

Lots of sun here, but wind, as well, and since the flags are out, it’s a beautiful day!

The humidity in AR was way up this morning, and I have to keep reminding myself of the years we lived in MO, on the banks of the Missouri river. Air we could drink and water we couldn’t. So I have that to look forward to all over again. I will be grateful for A/C, there. Though here, I’m happy with fans. Contrast!

Eating up some leftovers from the trip, and then James and I will see if the tarps are ready to be put away.

I put away some of the clothes that were dry, then swept up the bedroom floor.

Changing my schedule means changing my pill times as well as meal times because I always eat something when I take the supplements. This may be the hardest part to get used to!

I was reading some of the Facebook posts yesterday and there was a friend request. It said there were five mutual friends. Well. Imagine my surprise when I saw there was an older couple from church (probably the parents of the requester) and my nephew and his family in St George! You remember, the ones I moved up here to be closer to and haven’t seen since I’ve been here? Small world!

Maybe I should get after the filing. There is a prescription for me at Walgreen’s but I don’t feel up to going anywhere today.

I plan to not go anywhere, except maybe out to the front yard, where I can watch the things that are drying.

I had a nap by myself while Jake was in the sunroom. Now I’m going to have a cup of tea. The thermostat says it is 76 in here, but I feel chilly when the clouds cover the sun.

I don’t know what I was doing when the phone rang...trying to figure something out I think, but I that was an hour ago. What started out to be a “courtesy call” from FS and PW became an hour-long visit. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s a good thing I ate when I did, or I’d be mighty hungry!

It was a fun visit. James and Abbie were visiting them last night in an early birthday celebration for my son, and they were overjoyed that I am now #1 on the Wait List! :o])

Nothing got done today, literally, besides the laundry and a letter that I need to get ready to mail tomorrow. I was too tired to do anything else. And everyone is happy that I’m changing my schedule! ;o]

I’m glad you had a nice chat with your family. Tom the Son said he has physics homework and won’t be over this evening. I’m glad he’s working hard!
