I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a vacation right now!
She’s fine. We’re working on arranging her spaying. We were first told “after her first heat,” then it was “3 months after her first heat,” and now we’re told “call us after her swelling goes down and well schedule it for 3 months later.”
Soon we’ll rock her world by starting to pack boxes.
As am I! If I can just get this show on the road, I’ll be fine! Once I get there, I don’t even have to unpack completely before we can take off into the hinterlands! :o])
Another move? Dude. You’re sounding like me!!
Yeah. When Hobbes was spayed, they didn’t tell me to bring her back when they swelling goes down. They just charged me extra for doing it while the swelling was still in place.
She was miserable.
I’m okay with everyone else moving instead of me, thanks.
With luck, this will be my last one. Maybe. Most of the stuff will remained packed until I can decide, though. </joke
The bed is almost made, but I just didn’t have the energy to get it finished. I really need to sleep tonight because tomorrow is Walmart day! *unngh*
I still have to put the pillows on. I got new ones but forgot to open them and let them expand over the weekend, so the old ones get to go back on the bed. All my plans for stuffing the footlocker need a little tweaking. It happens when I’m exhausted.
I have to go to Walmart today. We’re out of gallon ziplock bags and paper plates!
I was able to get eye appointments for James and Dan tomorrow morning. They have to have them before they can do their driver training.
I’d go to Walmart on other days, but Tuesday is when they’re open at 0600. The earlier the better for me.
And Wednesday is my appointment at the pain clinic. They’re going to discuss a different pain killer for me, temporarily, of course. Just to give my body a rest from the morphine. I’m not excited about it because my body is so weird.
It’s sunny outside, but not warm. I’ll take sunny over the alternative, though.
Off to Walmart.
What’s this vacation thing you speak of?
Well, they increased the rent here by 15.5% so we took that as word that they wanted us and our puppy gone.
We’re only going across a rather small town, though.
It’s an ever-receding mirage.
Well, um...
I suggested to T-c somewhere back in the Fall, that once I got moved, she should come and visit, since the flight is only about an hour from where she lives.
It was a good idea, we thought, and then periodically, over the months, we’ve discussed things that are stress-causing and how nice it will be to visit westward to me instead of southward to her mum’s.
So now, with more stresses for both of us, the idea occurred to me that since AR is rather “hilly” than “mountainy” we should find a cabin to rent in the middle of a week where the tourists would be at a minimum. That way, we could enjoy the solitude and do not-too-strenuous things like hikes and drawing and reading out loud to each other.
So we have a tentative date for sometime after I get moved. I haven’t been on a real vacation in I don’t know how long. I usually visit relatives and truth be known, they aren’t much for the soothing and relaxing aspect.
And we haven’t seen each other in probably 10 years or more. So it’s time. :o]
Not so!!! We MUST make it happen! I don’t want you to show up when you’re the only one that can do the talking. I mean, how much fun will that be for me?
You get moved, and I’ll look for parks, cabins, or a nice inn.
Back from Walmart. They still don’t have any Sam’s Diet Cola in cans.
Workin’ on it!!
I’d be asking the manager when s/he would be getting in cans of Sam’s Diet Cola. Maybe they’ll have some the next time you go.
I’m having such a hard time staying awake, but I can’t go to bed just yet, much as I want to. I have to keep getting up and finding things to do to keep from falling asleep. Never mind that that the Dismally Inept Lawn Service is here, kicking up a ruckus. I want to crawl in between the sheets and I think even that noise wouldn’t keep me from sleep!
Sharon never did show up, so I don’t know if she even got my text saying I’d be here. I’ll get on FB in a bit and send her a message.
UNNGH!!
I don’t know how far you will be, but visit Table Rock Lake.
It’s not too far from Table Rock Lake to Eureka Springs, AR, which is the home of the Great Passion Play. We enjoyed the entire park when we took the kids to see it (many moons ago).
I’ve been to Eureka Springs on a VW show weekend with my son. I was living in Del Rio TX at the time. I have photos of the Christus and the Berlin Wall section, the hotel, and lots of VWs!
I’ll talk to my son about Table Rock Lake. I’m sure they’ve been there since he’s lived in the state for 30 years.
It won’t be much different than adjusting as a military wife and mum, for sure. ;o]
My obnoxious neighbor came over and asked me if he could check out the Tracker. He was disappointed that it has no A/C. Golly. I wonder if it’s a deal-breaker for him? LOL!
I told him I drove it in Vegas with no A/C and lived to tell about it. It won’t break my heart if he doesn’t want it because from the way he talked, he wants to rebuild it from the inside out. Which explains why he thought his low-ball offer would impress me.
I just told him I wasn’t going to sell it to anyone yet because I wasn’t ready to move. GAH! I hope he doesn’t keep pestering me. I think he was a little miffed that I didn’t invite him in.
