It might clear up later today. That would be nice.
One can only hope!
You certainly got an appointment for the podiatrist in a hurry! I had a pretty cool podiatrist, but by the time he was done with surgery on my feet, I wasn’t too happy with him. Still he’s a nice guy, and I wish he was nearby.
I was very grateful that he removed the bunions I had been born with!
The podiatry practice is quite busy, but it doesn’t take long to get an appointment. He said my ankle is much better. I should take the pills “as needed,” keep doing the exercises, and use the brace if I’m going to be on my feet a lot.
Excellent news!
I’m glad to hear there is progress on your ankle, and it doesn’t need more than an occasional tending to.
It’s only 41° out, and overcast, though it has been raining and isn’t done, yet. If things clear up, I may feel up to shifting things around in here and maybe then I can get an idea of what’s next.
What’s next in your day?
Kathleen and I went over to church to look for the box of pamphlets of the Divine Mercy devotion (in Spanish), which many of us believe is there ... somewhere. We did not find it. I guess it will turn up when the parish moves, maybe in 2022.
When my mother couldn’t find anything, she always said a prayer to St Anthony. It always seemed to work!
When we couldn’t find anything, my mother always found them in her large apron pockets. ;o]
w00t!
My mom would ask me if I’d seen her (whatever). I’d say, “Did you look in the refrigerator?” She’d say, “It wouldn’t be in there.” I’d say, “If you don’t know where it is, you don’t know where it isn’t.”
Mom was always misplacing stuff.
Anyway, I don’t know if anything ever turned up in the refrigerator.
Sorry. I didn’t have much choice.
I was going to walk up to the clubhouse and mail Charlie’s letter and a card, then decided to go to the library and then I thought as I was leaving there, that I’d check with the thrift store and drop off the stuff in the cargo area.
Done. Meanwhile I still have a bag in here that I’m working on filling, and when I feel a little more up to moving around, there will be more.
I consider anything I do as a victory, from taking a shower to going to Walmart. There was a day, not too long ago, when a shower was as good as it got and that was only possible about every four days. So like I said. Everything I do, no matter how insignificant is a victory.
Speaking of things...I decided to cook up a burger patty for lunch and went to use the pink salt grinder to season the patty and the grinder top came off in my hand. There was salt in the pan, on the burger, and there is now a hugh mess on the stove and the floor. It will wait.
In the meantime, I’ll try to run down the company online and launch a complaint.
NP. I thought about grabbing all 3 when I posted 97 just to save you the angst but then I had some work to do.
I had a bit of a nap. DP came back from the doctor and said he tested negative for Covid, strep, and mono. Thus, by process of elimination, his sore throat “must be” allergy-related. He got more drugs.
I’m going to make song pages, snap pictures of them, and text them to the choir.
Welp, I managed to make it to almost bedtime and just realized I’m plumb tuckered out. I’m going to go see what I can do to clean up some of the salty mess I made in the kitchen, and then I’ll toddle off down the hall. I don’t know if I’ll sleep the night through, but anything longer than two-and-a-half hours in a row is a win.
Yes, those pesky allergies that give you sore throats, headaches, sinus aches, muscle aches and runny noses as well as the sneezes are with us no matter what time of year it is.
Hurricane Valley is full of blossoms, now, and as of tomorrow, I will begin to cover the windshield and hope to keep the worst of the pollens off of it.
I don’t know how long it will be before the mulberry trees are cut down, or before the tree surgeon comes to trim back the worst of the other pollen-bearing offenders, but it can’t happen too soon for me.
The new wheel for the trunk has now been delayed until Monday. *sigh*
*sigh*
I hope you have a good night!
Thanks! You too!
The wind is up again, sucking and blowing on the vent cover. Fun times! I think I need to record it before I move...
This is not Shannon, but it looks just like her.
Not-Shannon is a very pretty kitteh!
Good morning.
Another slow start. I went to bed late but didn’t set the alarm so things are not being done.
I got an email from a cousin in OR (he contacted me last fall, having found me on Ancestry.com or FamilySearch.com) and we emailed for several weeks and then nothing.
All of a sudden, this — he’s coming to visit in early June. Blimey. Life.
My plan for today is to try and rearrange the stack of boxes in front of the bookcases, and maybe I can get some books packed. That would be nice! We’ll see how much stamina I have before I make any predictions. ;o]
Otherwise, it’s just another Satiddy in one of Utah’s Happy Valleys.

Good morning! I took Kathleen over to camp; she’s going to hang out with some friends for at least part of the day. Asuncion is here for choir, but I said she should go over to my neighbor’s yard sale.
Asuncion got her first dose of vaccine. She’s my age, but she has type 2 diabetes and lives in a multigenerational household, so she’s a higher priority.
It would be nice if the weather here were warm enough consistently for yard sales to not only be in evidence but also to be enjoyed. I love going to yard sales, and looking forward to it when I get to Cabot. The Favorite Son likes them!
No clouds today, and the high is supposed to be 67°, but the wind is still on-again, off-again. I’m going to try and get something done in a few minutes, but I don’t know how successful I’ll be. I don’t want to get too tired because I want to go to church tomorrow. Next week is Conference weekend, so I’ll be watching everything on TV. SLC broadcasts it on a local channel so I don’t need premium channels. Of course, when I move, I can watch it on the laptop.
I did some sorting and tossing earlier, but it was here at my desk so I don’t know if it counts for anything real. It would be nice if I could just keep going...
