Kittehs on a kitteh blannie!
Good morning.
The shower felt pretty good this morning, and though I was up in the middle of my night again, I’m not feeling too lethargic. The bottom is still out of the barometer, but it must be about ready to rise because I don’t feel quite so physically depressed. Good news, that!
The Fitz is still indicating wind and snow, but it’s been goofy since I got here, so... It’s supposed to be up to 70° this afternoon, but cloudy, according to the WeatherChannel, and I see you’re having lots of Weather.
I ordered some pants on sale yesterday, a size smaller than what’s been hanging in my closet, and I’m excited for them to get here! I have only seven pounds to go for my goal weight, and then I may reset the goal another five pounds. ;o]
Don’t I know it! LOL! I felt my inner self recoiling at that, but I let it slide because I won’t be here for much longer. Then he can do what he wants. Lots of women folk in this complex, longing for a man... *shudder* There are 24 apartments and six men, so the math is in their favor.
People can sure have different approaches to life.
It has already been raining here. We have Envirothon today. Then we have choir. As of right now, I feel less dreadful than I did yesterday.
Interesting concept. I can relate.
Happy Friday everyone.
We had rain yesterday, but as it started and stopped while I was working I barely noticed. The sun is shining now.
I think we may be able to stop diapering the dog this weekend. 21 days is normal for a heat period for a dog. So she’s on schedule.
Do you plan to breed the dog, ArGee? I have a great deal of sympathy with her, as a fellow female mammal.
Happy Friday.
We have sunshine for now, but it’s supposed to cloud up, later.
Poor puppy. I guess, though, since she’s had her first heat, she’s not a puppy any more. :o|
We have seen the sun a couple of times.
We have mostly sun.
In celebration, I packed two more boxes, and shifted a few things around, filled another bag for the donation pile and now, I’m calling it done for the day.
I only quit because my back told me it was time, even though I only spent 20+ minutes on the job.
Slowly but surely...
Being done is a good idea. There’s always another day.
We don’t. Back in the day the rule was to spay after 6 months, but now they want one heat to allow the bones to fully form - at least in larger breeds.
We’ll spay her in about 3 months.
I do have a game plan for tomorrow that involves at least three more containers, and since my early morning will be mostly free, I’ll see if I can get it done then, before the pain gets the better of me.
It was good to be able to get the stuff packed, even though it was just linens. Tomorrow, the world! Heh! At least some of the boxes in the kitchen are no longer in the kitchen, empty!
Science!
This is me, outta here.
Ta for now...
I hope you have a good night.
Lucky me, dead to the world, got up, went back to bed and was just pulling the covers up when the phone rang. It was the Real Brother, asking about redhead and telling me about their daughter and her hubby, the parents of a New Orleans Saint Running Back, who just moved to their little village in CO.
redhead, by the way, is feeling “puny.”
So I’m up in the night, with a migraine starting, and no ice cubes for a cold pack.
Unngh.
I hope you got back to sleep! I had cats.
You need to turn the phone off!
Tiny morning floof!
Good morning.
I did go back to sleep, and the phone was off. It’s just that I was still in the act of covering up when the phone lit up. Even when the ringer is off, it will light up. Some times, I have the presence of mind to turn it over, but not yesterday.
Anyway. I don’t know if you recall my $5 footlocker or not, but I’m going to finish the story, now.
I had all the parts listed that I would need on a “wish list” at eBay, and with the paint, it was around $100. The more I looked at it, the more I wondered if it would be worth the hassle, and then I began pricing footlockers. I found one I thought would be perfect with dimensions that were slightly larger than the one I had.
I found one on eBay for $99, with a pair of wheels for an additional $20+, and figured it would be much more suitable for bedding storage, and took everything else off the wish list, and donated the $5 footlocker.
The bigger footlocker came yesterday. I totally misjudged the actual size, but it’s a blessing in disguise. It will hold ALL the linens, including the pillows! I’ll get it out of the box in a while, but I have some rearranging to do in here and then will schlep it into the bedroom to pack it and that’s where it will stay until the move.
I could have gotten a tray to go with it but I felt like it wasn’t necessary. Anyway, it’s a lot of item for $99! The wheels, of course, will make it easy to load and unload.
So this morning, at least for the next hour, will be a little bit on the busy side!
Very pleased that the footlocker has turned out positively!
James and Vlad start driver’s ed this morning (on Zoom, 10 to 5:30). “That’s going to be so boring!” said James, accurately. “Welcome to other people’s lives,” I said, “and you’re welcome.”
