I want to do useful things today, too, but I think tomorrow is a better day for it because my back is burning. Basically, it means I have to keep the standing, bending and stooping to a minimum.
Favorite Daughter is bracing for the snowstorm that will hit Favorite Son in another day or two. She’s all excited, but him? Not so much, I think.
We are not expecting a snowstorm. Vlad and James finally have their presentations ready for today’s Envirothon meeting. Two minutes each, Jeez!
Now we need to work on a tree ID lecture.
I’m so cold. The snow is still coming down and I will be driving in it soon. I have to go to the library, to Walgreen’s and was going to go to Lin’s for Tootsie Rolls, but I don’t think I have enough money, then one more stop and home. Or maybe the last stop first, then I can come home straight from the library.
It looks like the snow will be lasting for a while, so I’ll be putting cold hands into gloves. I thank Rocky every time the weather gets cold like this, because of her thoughtful warm gifts.
About to leave for Envirothon with a stop to get our food contributions. It would be such a nice afternoon to nap with Jake!
Have a good time at the Envirothon!
It was a nice drive in the snow, and a better day at the library, where I was approached by a young man who is interested in buying the BB SUV!
I told him it would be two to six months before I was ready to sell, and told him what was wrong with it and he was undaunted because he wants it for his wife! What fun!
I would like to do useful stuff, too, but I have a job.
One would think that if they paid you to do it it would be useful, but it doesn’t seem to be that way.
And I work for the gubmint so it’s even worse.
Yes, I know how working for the gubmint is... I did it for five years, though it was only on the county level, not the state.
The inanity often caused me great humor, though not within hearing distance of any of my co-owrkers or the Suits.
As an example, I asked the computer guy if he could add a default name to one of the legal forms to avoid the repetition of having to type it in three or four times. You’d have thought I had asked for pistoles at 20 paces. They didn’t change it back, though.
They were just ticked that a lesser being thought of it.
Back, for now. I have to pick James and Vlad up at 7:00.
Gloriosky!
I decided to put on one of my lesser worn hoodies (this one from Chik-fil-A) and was surprised at how large it was! LOL! I’m always so excited when I can “swim” in clothes that used to be spray-on! :o])
Congratulations! And good morning. I went to bed before 8:00 last night. We have choir this morning; I need to get pages ready once my brain switches on.
Thanks! Most of my larger clothes have been donated, but I keep the hoodies because I’m always so cold. I told my Favorite Daughter-in-Law that I haven’t been warm since I moved here.
My brain needs to switch on, too, so I think I’ll have some coffee for a change. I woke up too early. And I’m not looking forward to tomorrow’s time change.
Since tomorrow is my fasting day for the colonoscopy on Monday, I’m glad it will be one hour shorter!
Kitteh wants to play this morning!
It’s cold here. I had taken the hood of my coat last week, planning to wash the coat this Monday, and I had to put it back on yesterday, what with the snow and cold. The snow was wet, and when I went out to run the errands, I used my hands to wipe the snow of the mirrors. It was wet snow and heavy.
I had to use the squeegee to get it off the windshield, as I didn’t put the cover on. I mean, snow? In March? It was gorgeous as I was driving, but I had left my phone at home (I try to always remember to take it with me in case I need 911 while I’m out) but my hands were frozen by the time I got to the library because the gloves were soaked and I had to take them off.
This morning, in the dark, it’s almost dry out there, but if there is any snow left, it’s all on the mesas and Pine Mountain. I’m really going to miss that mountain!
I’m glad it’s not cold or raining here!
The Favorite Daughter said The Snowstorm is due to hit at 0800. I don’t know what that means for us, but I think we’re at a point where none of the weather foregnosticators know what they’re talking about.
I just sent you a photo of Springtime in Southern Utah...
Saw it, thanks. DP has coworkers in Colorado who are complaining.
I guess what we’re getting is the tail end of that storm, and though the warnings are dire, folks who’ve lived in the Rockies for a while will go on about their business as usual.
It was cloudy here most of the day, temps in the 60s. We went for a walk in the woods, where we saw many birds, some squirrels, and lots of indications of beavers. Also many of our fellow citizens getting some fresh air.
How nice to have the woods so close! Here, even though we’re in the mountains, we have to drive a while to get to the woods.
The snain has stopped, and the sidewalks are dry and it’s cold but not freezing, yet.
I picked the wrong day to sleep in.
