W00t!!
I have to get it done this morning, period. No matter how I feel.
We’ll be lucky to see 50° today, and the wind will be blowing. I’m so tired of winter! And so sorry you’re cold!
I plan to have a shower and then dress in many layers!
Got any 8s?
Good morning. Happy Humph Day!
Humph!
w00t!
I did that several hours ago! I’m also wearing my Angel’s Landing hoodie and some leg warmers! Summer can’t some too soon!
Trash day here. I watched as the truck came in last week to empty the dumpster, and there were three vehicles parked on the other side of the street. I’d finally had enough of watching the driver try to do his job, and wrote a note to Chuck, telling him that if I were asked my opinion, which I wasn’t, I would say there should be no parking on that side of the street on trash day.
This time, he missed the vehicles by about 8”.
The dumpster has been moved to an angle to permit the truck to approach it from the other side, but in doing so, the curb cut-out poses a danger to anyone with poor vision or anyone who takes their trash out in the hours when the sun is elsewhere. It’s especially bad now that the security light behind my parking space is out.
I’ve told them about that, too. </gripe
You can’t have them.
Some things have been accomplished, and I’m ready for the shower. The house has grown a little warmer ...
We gots snow this AM. Only a couple inches, but still snow. It’s been a very dry winter.
Brrr. We had rain, rain, rain, but no snow.
Well...
Several boxes later...
I’m almost overwhelmed by the odor of the Marks-A-Lot, but after the book boxes come, I can open the door a little and maybe get some books tucked away and out of sight.
Now I need to rest my back. I should have waited until after I took the pain med to do any packing.
But the stuff that I had to wash for the donation pile (ceramic) is clean and almost dry and it will be packed with TLC. I’ve had it a long time and will miss it, but it’s time.
Congratulations on your progress! It is hard to donate things one has had a long time!
This was hard because it was expensive at a time when I didn’t even have a bed to sleep in, and only a small used TV set and a blind kitteh. But I was working, and I knew better days were coming.
However, the time has come to pass it on to someone else. I think I bought it in 1993, so it’s been a fixture. But, as I said, it’s time to let it go.
Now, I think I’ll sort out the storage closet and then wait for FedEx to deliver the book boxes. I’m sure I’ll need to buy more, but I would rather do it in small batches, just to keep a handle on how many boxes I actually pack.
right now, I’ve only packed 20, but if my supposition is correct, that means I’m about a quarter done with the job!
That’s a lot of boxes!
Yes, me too.
There are that many again in the storage closet, but even that needs weeding out. The stuff in the bedroom is mostly soft, so it goes into bags, and that’s almost done. So it’s books and kitchen stuff that are left.
I’m farther along than I thought, so Das ist gut!
While camping, one of my dogs broke her chain and took off after an elk cow. They’re big. What sort of weapon did you use?
Four days without crunchy health food? Ick.
O, hai!
