I’m kind of on the verge of a meltdown, but at least I have a new Jonah Goldberg podcast and the stove to clean. We were going to read Shakespeare, but Vlad went back to bed.
Yes, I understand. Cabin fever hits a lot, here, and it has nothing to do with other household members. It’s just that I’m isolated, which I believe won’t be quite so bad once I get to AR.
Maybe you’d like to visit me there? I could stock up on Pink Drink!
I will certainly consider it, once you’re settled in and I get my sense of smell back.
We went over to the church library and sorted out some books for the prison ministry, but it’s not at all the same as sitting around all afternoon at the real library!
It won’t take me long to settle in, for sure. So there’s another reason to look forward to the move!
Nothing beats the days in the big old library in my home town, 300+ miles from here. Especially in the winter. It gave us a chance to warm up before heading back up the hill in the cold. The librarian knew our dad, so we were given a lot of privileges two kids wouldn’t otherwise have had. But we were quiet and polite, so we stayed. ;o]
The San Antonio library branch near my university was in a big old house from the 1870s. You could get completely lost, but probably not find the book you were looking for!
At first glance I read, “Will we need cats?”
Yes, that’s my problem...no cats...
“Take two cats and you won’t need to call me in the morning.”
*tagline*
Pensive kitteh lives in Manila, Philippines.
Pensive kitteh is very pretty.
Good morning.
Not a good night last night, probably because Tuesday caught up with me, but maybe I’ll get back to sleeping most of the night again, soon. I hope so, because this six hours interrupted by hours is the pits. I shut the alarm off and slept for another hour and 15 minutes, for what good it is.
So what’s happening in your cold neck of the woods? In checking the four places I keep an eye on, yours is the coldest daytime, and Favorite Son’s is the warmest, over all.
Nothing on the docket here, but maybe something will come up, like finishing the shredding, and cleaning the bathroom and kitchen. I almost wish I had a galley kitchen again.
I’m about to do my prayers. Then I’ll make song pages, because Asuncion is coming over at 9:00. I’m also working on a handout about about our retreat next weekend, but I’m held up because my tech guy hasn’t gotten me the translation instructions. I might have to ask DP for help.
I probably have to go to Walmart. Tom the Son may come over. Kathleen hopes to see her friends up the street.
It sounds like a busy day.
Can you use Google Translate? It does whole pages.
I’m still working on my list for next week. I put gas in the truck when I went to the library yesterday, so that’s out of the way. When I go to Walmart, I’ll get quarters for laundry, and then I’ll be good until next payday.
Now, I have to go make the bed and say my prayers. I want a nap, but...
It has to work live on Zoom. We practiced it last year, including doing three languages, but I’ve forgotten how it works. DP looked up the instructions, and the first thing he found is that the Zoom meeting initiator has to enable it, so I’ll let her know about that.
Ah. Tecknowledgys. They baffles me some days.
My niece Kara, in Idaho, is a grandma, as of last night. She woke me up with a text of the brand new baby boy, maybe 3 seconds old! He wasn’t due until next week, but the mom had Pre-eclampsia so the doc induced labor. It must have been difficult because it was supposed to have been done on Thursday. Baby’s head was pretty pointy. He’ll get over it in few days.
Very happy for Kara and her family. Some of my babies were pointy-headed, too.
Those pointy heads make me think the baby worked harder than the mom to get out. In any case, what a miracle! just add air! “I can’t breathe!”
So that’s my excuse for not being able to sleep last night. Kara is my favorite niece. Then Holly, who lives in St George, and I’m clearly not HER favorite! LOL!
Family can be like cats.
Yes, indeed, they can.
I just cleaned the bathroom. So. Much. Mold. In this place. I’ll work on the kitchen in a bit. I’ll get something done today, I promise. Even if its wrong.
I’ll assign a bathroom cleaning to the next boy I see. The one after that will be assigned to get the last of the stuff out of the garage freezer.
