I have a few more Christmas cards to write and I probably need to do it today so they can go out in tomorrow’s mail. Otherwise, they may end up getting there after the event.
But it’s the thought that counts.
I’m trying to find the notebook that I was going to use to record the boxes and their contents, but it’s buried. Or maybe packed. I hate when I do that.
My sleep cycles used to do that to me. Now I’m just always tired because puppy.
It is Friday Eve. Happy Friday Eve!
We haz lots and lots and lots of snow. It is taller than the puppy. She wanted to play in it this morning but not soil it for a while. She eventually gave in. And her appetite is back but we don’t want the runs to come back so we’re going slowly. She ain’t happy.
F-I-L’s procedure went for 7 hours because they wanted to make sure he could urinate properly, only they weren’t giving him enough to drink. He finally went home. Says he’s fine now.
Despite what it feels like, having kids is not a sin.
We gave up trying to transfer the VHS and just got rid of them. Then we bought DVDs for those we cared about.
I’m a little disappointed in the DVD for “A Muppet Christmas Carol.” Probably the best film adaptation of “A Christmas Carol” I’ve seen, but they took out the song, “The Love Is Gone” from the DVD and I liked that part of the movie.
That should really be doable the other way around.
I saw a Tweet that said something like, When you’re considering how many children you want to have, ask yourself how many people do you want telling you at every meal that they don’t like it.
I do like electricity in the house, though.
Sadly, I don’t have puppy to help me get tired. *sigh*
It’s clabbered up out there again, but I don’t think any moisture is in the offing, no matter what form it takes.
Puppy will just have to adjust to Life With A Problem.
I’m glad your FiL’s procedure went OK, and that he’s recovering well. I’m sure its a relief to everyone.
I’ve been trying to find all the DVDs I can of the VHS movies I want to keep, and so far, I’ve only managed to find a few. Hence the reason for wanting to transfer them, especially before too much more time elapses. The tapes get brittle and therefore, useless.
I haven’t seen “A Muppet Christmas Carol” since I saw it at the theater. I haven’t even looked for it in DVD, but if I could find it, I would want it to be unedited.
I told my kids that they only had to have one bite of something I fixed, and if they really didn’t like it, then fine. Their option was not to eat it then, but don’t forage for something later.
For the most part, it worked, and they will try almost anything, these days.
And, of course, there’s the old ...
Wanna do something important?
Wanna change the world?
Wanna make a ton of money?
Then move out. NOW!!! While you still know everything.
Apparently the process to make the longer DVD was more than the producers wanted to pay for. Or something.
Indeed. I have considerable tolerance for young persons who know everything, as long as they're self-supporting.
Speaking of which, Tom appeared. He and Kathleen are going to make cookies.
This was when the kids were really short people. One of them still is but she now likes the foods she made choking noises about when she was really short. She went to Italy and ate calimari, and I won’t even eat it at home.
The Really Tall one has to watch his sugar intake, but he’s still a fan of most of Mom’s cooking.
Tom had to go back to Walmart for butter. I thought we had plenty. I rarely use it, so I don’t think about it.
Cookies. The bane of my existence.
I got a card from my Favorite Tall Child and his spouse, and she did an excellent job this year. Except that the message “JOY” fell off in the transporting process. Probably because of all the glitter she used on the background.
Good luck to Tom and Kathleen, and lets hope there is enough batter left to get some cookies baked.
Somehow,"_ _ _ to the World" seems a little pushy.
Woe to the World? Sounds like what my Tall Son would send ...
