When people get news they don't want to believe about someone they're voting for or like it takes “time” to adjust etc. even to the idea of it possibly being true..... and that's what the media and the Bidens and Attorneys will be looking at....”time”....There's 16 days til the election so all the forces around Biden will be doing whatever it takes to get him through these next couple weeks.....already he;s out of the picture until Thursday...so they knocked off pretty much this coming week into the weekend....leaving 7 days (eliminating the weekend) that they need to keep whatever cover story they create to protect him....as we've already seen simply dodging the press is working thus far. So it's not about if or not Bidens guilty......it's how much "time" they have to drag him over the finish line.
