I’m not totally sure about this, but depending on how one has things set up, if one has both an Apple laptop and an iPhone hooked up to the cloud, videos taken on an iPhone may get dumped automatically to the laptop.

I don’t know how a cokehead sets up his electronics; for that matter, he probably doesn’t either, and may have never even known about some of the stuff on his laptop.

I wondered this myself. Who took the pic of him asleep with a crack pipe in his mouth? He obviously didn't take that himself.

I think this is the Chinese version of a "Red Sparrow" honey trap. While Hunter was high on drugs, his Chinese companion(s), probably Chinese Intelligence agents disguised as escorts, took pics and videos of him in all kinds of compromising situations, including the horrific acts described.

Then they put copies of the docs on his laptop, without him even being aware. If his dad were to become President, they could tell him "Your dad is going to X, Y and Z for China...and if your dad doesn't go along, we will release damning pics, videos, and documents of your family's criminal wrongdoing. Wonder what we have? Here's the link for the folder on your laptop".
