You are voting for an elector. That elector is committed to the nominee of the party. If the nominee changes that is irrelevant. The elector still votes for the nominee.

I don't really buy that. While technically correct, you are voting for a particular nominee, in this case Biteme. It can't be assumed that all Biteme voters would have voted for a different nominee. Many may have voted third party, for Trump or not at all if it were another D candidate.

You can believe what you want. But those are the facts as they are laid out in the Constitution. But yeah, your opinion is more accurate than the Constitution.
