Agree.
As a disabled veteran of 71 years I can make a reasonable case for carrying a walking stick. Sometimes I really do need it, though rarely. When traveling, of course, always.
Mine is an old oak walking stick with a substantial, plain solid brass knob, tapering down to a half-inch ferrule tip. I have covered it with spiral French hitching and turk’s heads of tarred seine twine. Very nautical looking.
TSA agents always comment on it. Never anything negative but they do sometimes try to pull the “Sword” out. They sometimes point out that it would make a good weapon. I always correct them and say “Mobility aid”.
