It comes from the PAC’s
both sides do it...
All these spam text messages and emails have been ticking me off for months.
First of all, how did they get my numbers and accounts?
Second of all, stop treating my like I’m stupid enough to think it’s really Mitch, or Newt, or Don Jr., or Steve, or Martha, or whoever really texting me or emailing me.
Charities do this all the time. A deep pocket supporter agrees to contribute multiple dollars for every other dollar raised. This encourages smaller donors to give because they feel like their donations will have an impact. There is nothing illegitimate about it.
I continuously receive text messages from someone posing as Martha McSally, Newt Gingrich, Don Jr., Mitch McConnell and a half dozen more; scolding me for not responding to their pitches. Does this outfit really think I’d turn my plastic number over to some unknown bandits on the ‘net?! Well, when I receive one I instantly delete it. They don’t like that.
If these solicitations were legit, they would take a tiny bit more time to make them look legit. These so called fundraisers spend 80 million to raise 100 million, which is why trump only had a few hundred million after raising 1.2 billion over the past year at the start of the campaign season. (And don’t tell me it’s oganizing costs etc.) 80% of the money raised is paid to the people raising the money. They could afford to make the texts look legit.
Can I say that it is scary to think if any number of freepers would give a second thought to giving money to an unsolicited text that claims to be from a politician, then we are not really any more intelligent than the other side?
You people are scaring me!
If you send me $100, I will 5000X send a donation to your candidate. Trust me!
