Sean is taught to repeat the same message as often as possible since he has a new audience every 15 minutes.
He also knows that if he gets the wrong person on talk radio he loses audience.
He has certain stuff he wants to get out over and over to get the message out. If his guests don't do it he will. Is it always pretty? Seldom. Is it major league talk radio? Yes.Does it always transfer over to TV? Seldom.
It's hard enough to become "journalistic" on the air abiding by many of the rules of print journalism. Who, what, when, where how, much less all the other constraints of: time,good and bad guests, tech,sponsor needs,network guidelines,it's not easy.
There's a set of rules Sean and Rush live by. The problem is Rush does it smoother and better than most making the rest look bad. Not on purpose just how it turns out.
I've been doing talk since 78’ and I'm not anywhere as good as either one of those guys. They are the best.
