Yeah, even its proponents can’t really make good arguments for it. We do have really bad traffic problems here in ATX but that isn’t the answer. Of course, we also have an affordability problem and a 25%+ tax hike is also the last thing we need. Interestingly its opposition seems to transcend partisan lines; I even saw a “Vote No on Prop A, Vote Biden” combined sign, suggesting even the Leftists aren’t buying it.... but who knows. Too many renters here who are too dumb to realize that property tax hikes will also raise their rent.
