Except ... the Egyptians invented lipstick ... as a way to allow ho’s to advertise.
Cleopatra was a Ptolemy (Greek).
I stand corrected, sir.
***the epic tale made famous by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 classic***
The only thing “famous” was the scandal of Elizabeth Taylor and Burton which was in all the newspapers.
It bombed at the theaters. Lost lots of money. Ruined the desire to see Roman era epics such as Fall Of The Roman Empire, for years.
***Or indeed of any blood outside of the immediate family.***
The Ptolemys did take on Egyptian culture of sister marrying brother.
Cleopatra had a sister in Ephesus. I believe her tomb was found with her bones inside. She was believed murdered by Augustus’ soldiers. I believe her DNA could shed some info on her background.
***she sure liked to make it with Romans.***
Cleopatra wasn’t called “The Gaper” for nothing. I’ve read what she did. WOW! And we thought DEEP THROAT was something new.
Its called acting for a reason.
LOL!
I guess they didn’t get the memo stating that price was no object where, ‘La Liz’ was concerned!
She’s been worth every penny spent, her entire life. ;)
Classic. Sid James the epitomy of sleazy
“’Wonder Woman’ Gal Gadot to star as Cleopatra, sparking dispute over Israeli in role”
it’s simple, really: Israel wasn’t a country when Cleopatra the Greek reined over Egypt, which means it’s totally inappropriate for an Israeli citizen to pretend like she’s Cleopatra ... only a Greek can appropriately pretend like she’s Cleopatra ...
