Pretty amazing. My dear grandmother lived to be 100 and 8 months, and was bed-ridden, skin over bones. God bless her.

Well unfortunately the body does loose its fat content and collagen as we age, plus muscles tend to shrink, so everything gets rather lean, and if your're at normal weight it shows up lean all the more. Heavy people fair better in that respect. At 100 for sure she had great long run and likely wouldn't have wanted to be bed-ridden, but it's true for some the person sorta gets stuck in a cage (body) that won't let them function as their mind would dictate otherwise.
