Oh, and did she volunteer them to Denver PD as evidence before or after the sale? Does DPD even have the camera and memory in their possession and logged in as evidence?

The photographer in orange could have sold those photos to one or more of several potential defendants. KUSA News9, Tegna, Pinkerton, Undisclosed security subcontractor, etc.
Prosecutors should be able to subpoena the complete set of images.
