What power does the Senate have in this situation anyway. Not much. At least he’s publicizing it. In order for this consorship to stop, the House has to vote on a bill repeal Section 230, POTUS tweeted this today. I am not a tech person to know the details, others do. And the House will never vote this way without an R majority, which hopefully will be the next Contress. And then the Senate would vote on it.
The FCC can regulate Section 230. But of course Trump hasn’t yet named three commissioners who back that. Maybe just one away but the GOPe in the Senate are stalling on that nomination to help their Big Tech partners out.
