here’s the problem with the million chimpanzees.

How do they know when they have a *correct* sentence, or page, or combination? They don’t - they KEEP TYPING (destroying the correct part).

The minimum subset to produce just one amino acid would be impossible - but a single amino acid cannot reproduce itself - so you have to *randomly* produce a entire life form.

Anybody who has that sort of faith in randomness needs to go to vegas and place his life’s fortunes on a one in a google-plex occurrence.

Time and randomness are the new scientific twin gods. With time and chance all things are possible. Except nothing decays in time/chance scenarios. It just keeps on adding new stuff.
