(p.s. Do you get that saying? Have you heard it before? It was a joke about tuberculosis I learned from my parents in the 60s. I can’t find a single reference to it on the internet. I think I must be going crazy.)

Could be some aphagia (inabilty to swallow properly). The result of dementia. Results in aspiration. Wettish cough.
