Yep, learned that in 2016.
I was texted 3 times within the last 3 months. All of them said if I would be supporting Joe Biden for President. I never see a pollster asking if I would be supporting President Trump. It’s always democratic polls asking democrats if their supporting their guy. So I am not shocked when I see a poll say Joe leads by 14 or 16%
I answered a poll from Beto’s PAC. They stopped after one question. “How likely are you to vote in this year’s election?” I told them that only death would stop me from voting. They didn’t ask any more questions. I guess they guessed that I was a Trump supporter.
“Good question is how many are refusing to take the poll when asked? If a large number of the electorate is not interested in answering the phone for a poll then the accuracy of the poll is going to be way off.”

Response rates have plummeted. They averaged 6% in 2016 because of increased cell phone usage and reporters wondered if pollsters could still conduct accurate polls at those low levels. As we know, they couldn’t.
Trafalgar (who displays response rates...most pollsters don’t) is now down to 1 - 2%. Pollsters are having a very difficult time getting “representative samples.”
Most people won’t answer their phones. Republicans are 5 times more likely to not participate in polls generally.
Recent study reported 11% of republicans, 10% of independents and 5% of democrats will not disclose who they are voting for.
Pretty safe bet most of them plan to vote for Trump since the media has demonized Trump supporters.
Really telling statistic.
Most recent Gallup poll reported that when voters, no matter who they were going to vote for, were asked who did they think would win the results were Trump 56% - Biden 40%

And I think the enthusiasm for Trump is off the chart. Some of it is down right love for him, but there are many that don’t particularly like him but are terrified of our country being run by (take your pick) Socialists/Communists/Marxists.
If you do respond to those online or texted polls, regardless of your response, they constantly spam you for fund raising.
Yeah, like we did with Obama...oh, wait...
