In the mid-70’s, I lived in “Saddle City” (Waimanalo, Oahu), later (83-87) in Aiea.

Saddle City was owned by a guy named Takshera (sp?)...a Portugese guy. Then in the 80’s it seemed that the Japanese were buying everything.

Hmm, seems we lived in Aiea in a very similar time frame!

Japanese were buying a lot on HI and the mainland IIRC.
