People who were upset with Trump’s approach should be happy with Pence. Of the four, he’s the only adult, and that should help bring a lot back into the fold that were turned off by Trump’s debate performance.

I wouldn’t say that Trump’s not an adult - he is, and he’s way ahead of the competition in terms of intelligence. He speaks out of turn, he doesn’t back down, he fights - which is why we hired him.
Now, Pence has a very good gift - he’s able to articulate, to slow himself down to the “dummy” level so that even democrats can understand him. He has a smoothness that I really like.
As you said, Trump and Pence are a good team.
