Amen.
My wife and I have been through hell over the past year with some health issues on her side.
Money doesn’t matter. Work doesn’t matter.
Making each other laugh and “being there” matters.
Over the past ten years, I’ve been the primary caregiver to six relatives. On their death beds, they don’t give a shit about anything but laughing and “the kids.”
I’ve seen it too many times, and its changed my life.
If I can make my wife life during six months of chemo, that did more than any narcotic. And the health professionals found it easier to deal with as well.
Being “worried” about any of this other stuff is minor. Political matters—on a scale of 1-10 is about a 3. Its akin to a fun hobby with “like minded” people.
I spent 12 hours in a surgical waiting room yesterday, reading about the Trump/Covid stuff. It was a nice distraction. But it had no bearing on my day, whatsoever.
Keep laughing. Keep “being there.” Don’t sweat the crap.
And keep riding.

Well said..................................

You are so right. You have seen a lot of grief. God bless you for your positive attitude. Loving well those God gives us and being thankful for all He has done is the bottom line. You do well.
