There’s no denying that there were some relatively healthy middle-aged Americans who died of COVID. In fact it seemed like there were a number of B-list celebrities who died from it during the early months of the pandemic. Am I just imagining it or were most of them residents of New York and L.A.?. And yet the statistics show a mortality similar to seasonal flu. There are still a lot of things that don’t make sense about this virus. Is there a more lethal but less easily transmittable form of the virus that was deliberately spread in certain localities? Meanwhile the rest of the country is dealing with an easily spread but relatively harmless version? Who knows. None of it makes sense.
