LOL..ok here's the scoop. I found a box in the back of the cabinet that had a past date of a couple of weeks. So I have been putting them outside for the racoons late at night after they finish whatever I had put out earlier. I got to thinking that for a box of pop tarts to get past their date they'd have to be almost a century old. So I'm trying to wing myself off of them at least for a while. Trying to eat healthier. Today its a donut but most mornings its eggs and bacon. And I'm sticking to this story.

I got to thinking that for a box of pop tarts to get past their date they'd have to be almost a century old. Exactly. I drink milk if it's outdated & smells OK. Even then I just pretend it is buttermilk.

LOL. Anytime I see a food that lasts Beyond several months on the Shelf, the first ingredient is probably preservatives.

If you compare a bag of plain corn chips with a bag with any flavored corn chips, you will see that the first has three ingredients: corn oil and salt. The other 10 to 20 ingredients in the flavored bag is unhealthy and is there partly to get us to want to eat more and more and more. Reading the ingredient list helps to resist the flavored ones.
