Yes, the Model 60 is the one product that I'm concerned about with this news. That's the 10/22's main competitor.

This is breaking new ground for Ruger; I hope they have a good plan to preserve the Marlin brand - including legacy designs.

My very first 22 rifle was a tubular mag design. I can't remember for sure, but since that was in the sixties, it could very well have been a Marlin 60.

I have about a dozen Marlin 60 variants but don't have one with a squirrel on the stock. I used to see them at gun shows all the time but they have all but disappeared.
