Chris Wallace, the host of Fox News Sunday and moderator of the first presidential debate between President Trump and Joe Biden, said that he hopes to remain as invisible as possible during their faceoff on Tuesday in Cleveland, Ohio.
Im trying to get them to engage
to focus on the key issues
to give people at home a sense of why they want to vote for one versus the other, he said. If Ive done my job right, at the end of the night, people will say, That was a great debate, who was the moderator?

Chris Wallace lost that debate. Awful performance.
It was the Wallace vs Trump debate
Well, Chris, you failed miserably.
Wallace was disgusting!
Even libs I know have said Wallace failed miserably.
Not invisible, but forgettable.
Yea! Chris Wallace was invisible alright. I found it had too determine if he was the debate moderator or if he was the Democrat Candidate.
Chris Wallace is the best that FOX can come up with?
He was horrible in the previous debates (2016). Why would anyone expect him to be any better now?
What else could he have done? I thought he did a reasonably good job given the personalities he had to deal with and their visceral hatred of each other.
Biden was the most despicable POS I’ve ever seen in my life. Calling POTUS a “Clown” and telling POTUS to “Shut up.” Covering up for his crooked son. Telling the horrible lies that the press has told about Trump like the Atlantic article faking a quote from Trump that the troops are “losers.” Yet we have actual video of Biden telling the troops “Clap, you bastards.” And on and on and on.
Biden came out of the chute with a confabulation that the American people should vote on who gets to select the next Associate Justice. Trump finally got around to saying “They DID vote...in 2016.”
Chris, do you mean like an invisible Vote for Biden hat?
Wallace failed miserably at that goal. Another website documented 35 times Wallace shutdown President Trump. 35 times. I noted it many times but, I didn’t bother to count.
Crutch wallace.
As someone stated, Biden came in third.
Several times Pres. T was pinning Biden down, bent on getting answers...but Wallace would cut him off.
How’d that work out for you Chris? Did you enjoy getting your ass kicked by the President?
It was especially bad at the end where Biden got the entire times worth to ramble out his answers.
But when it was Trumps turn, and he was building steam, Wallace was like “Can I ask you?” “Can I interrupt your point you are making?”
I enjoyed watching President Trump talk over Wallace all night.
Chrissie may be the most overrated
“newsman” on television. What a fraud he is, pretending to be neutral. He hates Trump and everything Trump stands for.
Biden knew the questions in advance and has been practicing for weeks. Trump did great considering he was debating both of them. Wallaces bias and hatred of Trump caused most of the debate to lack a flow. He was rude and interrupted Trump and wouldnt let him answer. Questions were all supportive of Democrat talking points and Biden wasnt pressed on important questions like whether he would pack the court.
Stupid questions about tax returns but none about the 2nd Amendment or Trump’s foreign policy and trade triumphs?
Fox should fire him for his performance.
He could have tried not debating the Republican Presidential candidate, who happens to be the President of the United States, for starters.
