I didn’t read the whole thread, so this might have been suggested.

Ask your doctor about Gabapentin (generic for Neurontin) for the nerve pain, it’s a prescription drug, but specifically targets nerve pain. It’s not an opioid, actually an anti-epileptic but they use it for neuralgias.

I have MS, so I’m no stranger to nerve pain and neuralgia. Mine was prescribed by a neurologist, but I think a GP can prescribe it, all the have to do is google it if they’re unsure of the dosage.

Gabapentin is a drug with many side effects. People should consult a doctor.
