The cinch in the front is the tight one. It is obscured by her leg and boot.

All my riding has been on the East coast with English tack...except for few times on western saddles.
The time I got thrown from a slipped saddle was from a western saddle with but a single cinch. The ornery Canadian horse was known to have a habit of inflating when saddled. They should have told me the horse was a stubborn French Canadian that refused to acknowledge English commands.
One helluva ride as he tore off for the woods before unassing me. For a few moments I felt like a pony express rider bent over and trying to bite that summab*** ear off. ;>) my quasi rodeo moment.
