I love the idea of a jammer.
Seeing Biden grab his head on national TV & start to babble even more will be priceless.
Spread Spectrum: The spreading sequence (in Direct Sequence systems) or the frequency-hopping pattern (in FH systems) is unknown by anyone for whom the signal is unintended, in which case it obscures the signal and makes eavesdropping extremely difficult. Don’t believe me? Take your spectrum analyzer and tell me what is being said over someone’s bluetooth headset.
Much easier to just jam it all. Elevating the noise floor will destroy the ability of the receivers to find an unoccupied channel and destroys enough bits that error correction algorithms fail. It’s simply a power game - emit enough power to exceed the burn-through range of the target and they cannot communicate. Fortunately the best jammers are owned by the federal government.

I would have demanded that the debate be held in an RF cage. This would not interfere with actual hearing aids.
Hopefully, the Trump people will have some smart geeks with a spectrum analyzer nearby. I would also look for modulated IR. If they can record the signal...

RF CAGE!!!! How could Biden possibly object? Eve if he has a hearing aid, perfectly understandable for a man his age and certainly not something to ding him on, it would work just fine in an RF cage. If it’s NOT ACTUALLY a hearing aid, well, too bad.
This occurred to me recently. I wondered at them having, like, 6 people in the "crowd" to hear Joe speak. It dawned on me that maybe a large crowd would be frightening to him at this point; or, just such a distraction that he couldn't function. And, maybe, this is, one of the reasons, why they are restricting the number of people that can be in the "audience".

It will be an actual hearing aid to aid him in hearing what the guy at the DNC office is telling him to say. It won’t help him. Donald knows it will be there and instinctually will compensate for it and turn the off-camera instruction against him. He doesn’t need a faraday cae.
