You also need churches to be willing to teach why sex in marriage is a sacred covenant, not a recreational act that sees children as an unwanted side effect of making love.
I hate to tell you that you wont get rid of abortion by changing the law. You need to change hearts. And you need a feminism that is motherhood friendly, things like family leave and subsidized income.
If family leave is paid for by the couples workplace, sure - otherwise no.
And subsidized income? Who gets to pay for that? It is not a taxpayers responsibility to pay a womans income so she can bear children. If a woman cant afford to have children practice some restraint. No reason to bribe women with taxpayer dollars not to abort.
And I wouldnt want my insurance rates to go up so it will cover either of the above; smells like Obamacare. Insurance should not cover anything beyond the birth and health of the child. Not income and family leave Paid for by everyone else.
Of course, I find nothing wrong with a company paid family leave or an unpaid family leave and the couple saving up for a few years in order to subsidize their own income while they play mommy and daddy.
