“The remedy is impeachment. Much easier to get than your route.”
Considering the facts that the Constitution has been amended far more than judges have been impeached and that SCOTUS justices have NEVER been impeached I am going to have to disagree with you over the ideas that impeachment functions as a remedy and that it is easier to accomplish than an amendment.
“Of course it does, President with the Senate can replace any justice whenever they wanted.”
That’s not democratization, the public is not voting for the judges, representatives are selecting and removing them and both other branches of government are required.
What we have now is a form of aristocracy and what I am proposing is republicanizing it.
We the People have responsibilities in this Republic. One of those is to be sure our elected representatives actually do perform their jobs. One of which is to impeach SC Justices that fail the Constitution.
It doesn’t happen “automatically”. Assuming otherwise gets us all to where we are here today-making a good man, PDJT, shoulder a burden of our making.
Whatever you say Robespierre, good luck with it.
