I typically use some kind of pilot point pen.
Excepting in Yeshiva where I wrote out an entire book of the Torah using the equivalent of a fountain pen.
But that has nothing to do with the point. Cursive was invented to prevent tears and blots from repeating picking up and putting down a quill pen.
With all manner of modern pens (starting with the lowly ball point), cursive became unnecessary.
Because they are trying to create an underclass of mindless plebes. Every child should learn cursive and I say this as a cursive challenged person who speed prints everything. I’m still glad I can write cursive.
I work with an extremely impressive 20-year-old. Shes got a great work ethic, is competent at her job, is a devout Christian, and I just realized after reading this that her notes are in cursive. Id say theres hope, but she may be a rare exception.
Wasn’t there a ‘Planet of the apes’ movie or Star Trek episode where they had these secret documents that were read very weird until the star comes in and translates it to what it really said? Its sad to think some of the things made fun of in movies, tv and books is now become reality ie. 1984, Atlas Shrugged, Animal Farm, Married with Children, The Jeffersons ...
Cause wardaddy can barely print
Yet back in 1965 my cursive was good enough to be displayed at central office Jackson Miss public schools
Girls usually dominated that award
Voter fraud is so much easier if you do not have to forge a person’s signature. The letter X can be copied by anyone.
The human brain processes digital input far differently than physical input. Digital is completely passive and divorces from physical cues. So much more, but digital comprehension is at least 10% less than paper — and that’s for digitally advanced students. The move to digitize education is the biggest educational scam after whole language and new math.
