Oh no!!! Transphobia!!! Violation of speech code!!! Bad whitey white white man!!!
Rogan better realize these “triggered” folks are his fellow political travelers, he’s a Bernie Bro.
They feel alienated??? See a pshrink. Take a pill. Hell, have a few drinks and walk a tightrope. But grow the f@%# our.
What will Joe do without spotify????
Live off his 100 million $$$$$
Start up a new platform
......As Joe Rogan laughs all the way to the bank.
Queue “Babs” and her chart-topper, “Feelings”!
Why can’t someone write a chart-topper “Logic”?!
But it HAS become a fad, and an insult to true trans people, such as those who are intersexed, or have Turners syndrome (X), or Androgen Insensitivity Sydrome (XY female), or XX males, or Kleinfelders Syndrome (XXY), and so on.
People like Rogan and J. K. Rowling are correct to stand against this trend.
Joe Rogan has the biggest podcast on the planet the Spotify bigwigs wont do a damn thing to him
Who did they think they were hiring?
Has Spotify already broken faith and contract by censoring him, and deep sixing certain episodes?
Spotify management decided Joe Rohan’s opinion was worth one hundred million dollars. You don’t draft a check for one hundred million dollars on a whim, and you don’t come across available talent worth that figure very often.
Spotify management also has a few staffers who like to use the word “problematic” in an unironic way. None of them, not even cumulatively, are worth one hundred million dollars to the company’s bottom line. Not even close. Now you can’t run a large company without any staff, but it is infinitely easier to find some new staffers who can pretend to act like adults during work hours in an economy running on 9% unemployment than it is to find another hundred million dollar talent.
When Spotify was first asked why certain past episodes were no longer avsilable (e.g. Alex Jones) we were told there were technical difficulties. No we know the real reason.
Joe is definitely a liberal, but he is morphing into a liberal that has been mugged. He left California for Austin, Texas because of all the BS in California. The likes of Tim Kennedy, Dan Crenshaw, Ted Nugent, Jocko, and Andy Stumpf and others who have been on his show are slowing opening his eyes. He is open to intelligent discussion.
Cancel culture is inherently fratricidal, as is every totalitarian movement. Hitler had his Night of the Long Knives, Stalin his 30’s purges, Mao the Cultural Revolution. Rogan does sometimes appear a bit surprised (when he’s not ripped to the nipples) that the virtue of toleration should be with the conservative side, and he’s still adjusting, because the opposite stereotype is so pervasive and longstanding that it’s difficult to see around until it’s in your face.
well, how much money do these staffers make for Spotify compared to how much money Rogan can make for them. Besides, they signed a contract. It would cost tens of millions to try and dump him. Especially over something they already knew about when they signed the deal.
These companies want the free-speech legal protections of the public square.
But they want to police who is allowed to have free speech in that public square.
maybe its the employees’ problem
remember when companies said shape up or ship out?
its impossible for a business to appease every single employees personal beliefs and opinions
therefore, do not try
if they are unhappy, perhaps its time to look elsewhere
I’m encouraged that Rogan’s audience has 3 hrs a week to dedicate to him, but likewise bewildered that that’s 3 hrs a week they aren’t getting additional input.
Kinda good and bad, I guess. I don’t have the time, not even at 1.5x speed, becuase I have far more informative sources to listen to, including No Agenda, John Batchelor, Chris Plante, EconTalk, Dan Bongino, Devin Nunes, VD Hanson, not to mention history and philosophy podcasts I consume.
Clearly Rogan audiences listen only to Rogan.
