I agree. The Lebanon civil war is a case in point. It began on 1975 with a drive-by shooting by muslims of a Christian Church in Beirut. Christians retaliated and things quickly retaliated, with the City being chopped up into zones of control. The conflict soon spread to the rest of the country.
One someone’s homes and families come under direct attack, the impulse for retribution quickly comes to the surface. There is no way to predict how things will unfold once the blood-lust is triggered. Those who think it can never happen in America don’t know history.
