I hope the FL legislature passes it. Every decent run state should do the same. That and the Feds pulling any fed $ from such cities, and legally going after mayors and hopefully governors who facilitate riots will be excellent. Both meaures are in the news.

It’s hard to fathom, from eastern Tennessee, what y’all have been experiencing. Other than that big fire in Gatlinburg a few years ago, it’s usually not much of an issue here.

I remember that TN fire, and it was arson. It was horrible. Just like most of the fires in OR and WA right now. THere is only one road through the valley, other than one or at most two very windy mostly one laners through mountains. Most of the road in/out/through the valley is one lane. It’s interesting... It usually never rains in summer here, so it’s not a “draught”, it’s normal for everything to get really dry until fall rains start again, and rain is forecasted for Wed. First since maybe end of May, can’t remember exactly.
Trump said he might meet one of the potential nominees when he goes to FL on Friday...

Actually, I think the Gatlinburg fire was caused by a couple of stupid kids that had an ordinary campfire in a time and place (severe drought) where they were not permitted period. And, there were some 50 mph winds that night, which moved the embers into the Gatlinburg area very, very quickly.
Around here, there were a couple of fires going, but they were fairly well contained. I remember watching the helicopter with the big bucket circling around, dumping water on the fire that it had scooped up out of the Tennessee River.
The smell outside was pretty strong, but I had a couple of good HEPA filters running in the house all the time to keep the inside air fairly fresh.
Servers would be needed for the thighness’ human trafficking and weapon and drug trafficking ops.

Oh, it was studpity, not on purpose. That’s a little better but the result is the same. Campfires when not permitted is just a tiny shade less bad than arson IMHO!
